I still have days when I feel a bit self-conscious when I go out. I'll be wondering whether I'm looking good enough, whether my hair looks decent, whether I did my makeup well, whether my outfit looks right, whether I'm moving well, and especially whether I'm sounding good. I'll be acutely conscious of where I came from and that my anatomy does not yet match my presentation, even though no one can see that. My behaviour will be just fine, I know, but these kinds of thoughts will be floating around in my head, and that can be distracting.
