Chardon: Transgender homicide suspect appeared in court Wednesday

CHARDON -- Christine Mason appeared in Geauga County Common Pleas
Court late Wednesday, telling Judge David Fuhry that she had no money
to hire an attorney to defend her.
Mason, 41, was arrested and charged Friday with reckless homicide in
the June death of her husband, 73-year-old James Mason.
