I had my FFS last week.  Combine that with my time taken to move and unpack at a new place, and I have neglected to write.  The operation went fine.  I was booked for an 11-hour surgery but finished a half an hour earlier.  Apparently, according to Dr. Ousterhout, I'm not a bleeder =)  I went in at 7:30am and so woke up with a couple of hours of Wednesday left.  They took me to the Princess Suite for the two nights.  I must say that it never felt like a hospital.  There was no antiseptic look.  There were actually two rooms, one of which is for guests or company.  The nursing was impeccable.
