Believe it or not..I used the website..MYSPACE.   I know it sounds weird but i posted my pictures on the site then added family members as friends. I wrote in my blog that if they accept me then ask questions..if they don't accept me then nice knowing them.  It worked out really well, better then i could of imagined.

Jay: I didn't mind reading that post. In fact, I can relate to a lot of what you said. I haven't spoken to my dad about this since coming out to him in August (to his incredible disbelief).

My mom says to give her and the rest of my immediate family time, because "we're your support system" she says. Should anyone else pick on me or have questions in the family, she wants me to know that she'll be there for me. I don't know that she can speak for my dad and sister though.I don't feel any person can speak for someone else.

I'm dying to tell my immediate family and just get it over with, especially to those I care about a lot. I'm tired of living in fear that they may or may not reject me after they know, I just want to know....But mom says don't tell anyone until she's squared away with it...and god knows how long that takes. It varies by parent, yeah? It could take her years (especially at the rate she's reading the trans books I gave her).

Eventually the changes are going to be evident to people...She can't hide it forever.

Staci: LOL nice. I wish my family was more internet savvy but as it is the only people I know for sure are on myspace are my cousin and sister. (One cousin out of HOW MANY?!) I was thinking of making a youtube video for the extended family but god knows how many of them know how to use it. My mom doesn't even know how to use youtube.
