Transsexual truck driver wins £20,000 after losing job

Vikki-Marie Gaynor, a former soldier who used to be known as Mike, had
been working as a trucker for Excel Europe, an arm of delivery giant
DHL.
She got the job via recruitment firm Blue Arrow in October, 2006.
In a written judgment, employment judge Dawn Shotter ordered Blue
Arrow to pay more than £9,000 compensation for breach of contract,
compensation for unlawful discrimination and failing to comply with
the Employment Act.
