Electrolysis and Laser at the same time?

I don't mean at exactly the same time, day, or even week. I just want to know what you think about fighting the war against facial and body hair on both fronts by getting electrolysis done in between laser appointments.

Does anyone recommend/not recommend it? Why or why not?

I had a full mixture of brown, red, gray and white facial hair.

Because so much of it was gray and white, I "assumed" that electrolysis was my only path.

After having invested a lot of time in electrolysis, a comment from a dermatologist on an unrelated visit prompted me to look into laser again.

So I did and have had 5 laser treatments since July. I still have some white and gray hairs that only the electro will remove, but the laser removed virtually ALL of the dark hair making my face at least appear much clearer. And did so much faster than electro would have done. There is NO evidence of beard shadow any more, but after a couple of days there is still rough stubble.

I give at least a week off of electro before a laser session and a week after and it has worked well for me.

Thanks for the advice!

I have been giving myself the same week of recovery between treatments as you have.

I mostly had laser for a majority of my face, with some electrolysis for the greys around my chin area. There was a point later that she would do a little laser on the upper lip, then finish the session with elecro on the greys...I had no problem. I dont think she would do both in the same area at the same time. It really depends on your pain tolerance I think...
