I'm a little worried right now, I am having minor heart pains from time to time. I've had this happen in the past too, but I don't think it's a big deal. I know I haven't been eating healthy lately, but I have been keeping up fitness. I have been riding bike 50-60 miles a week, so I haven't been sitting around doing nothing. I also can ride roller coasters just fine; I have no problems when my heart rate rises rapidly. But I don't know what to think about it, any advice? I have no insurance either, so I can't exactly see a doctor for cheap at all.

You're In school, FR, right? Then go to the health clinic there -- your fees and tuition if you're full-time will have that covered.

I don't have a clue what kind of plan your school has, but at my grad school we were on an Aetna Plan with the faculty, staff, etc and the clinic could, and did, send us for testing and consultations. There were no co-pays when I sw specialist and had tests.

If it is the heart then testing could at least tell them the problem, perhaps. Just go check into it -- what can that hurt>

Could be lots of things. It could just be all the junk you are eating is giving you heart burn, could be a pulled muscle, could even be your heart (if your left arm goes numb or you get pains shooting down that side then start to worry - call an ambulence).

What does the pain feel like?
