Barry Kenneth Cossey was born in Norfolk, with XXXY chromosomes, Klinefelter's Syndrome. She started living as female in 1971 at age
17, and began work as a showgirl and topless dancer.
She had breast augmentation and Adam's Apple reduction surgery, and then genital surgery in 1974, under Dr John Randell at Charing Cross Hospital. She developed a career as a model, using the professional name Tula.
