1. Make-up : - it's usually just a thick, light-colored layer for me, but with my red, greasy Androgenic skin, it does miracles and changes how I feel about my facial skin totally. It really changes me from masculine to somewhere in-between. I always cover my face with it, and I use the same tone under my eyes and generally all over just to bring out my features and create a solid, no-shine, matte look.
2. A well put-together outfit: - it doesn't have to be specifically female (I personally do love flannel shirts, big shorts, Vans slip-on shoes, all that), but as long as the outfit matches and flows like a female's outfit would, I feel great. I usually pin up my clothing with hairpins in specific places to make it all flow better with my body and face. It really makes so much of a difference in my appearance and emotions, though the clothing items are indeed still mens' clothing.
3. Hairstyle: - I'm growing out my hair, so right now, I'm wearing it in a pony tail, and overall, it looks like a cross between a very sour-looking rich woman and a greaser hispanic guy. It simultaniously makes me look more Native American, and yet somehow a bit more female, it's a very interesting effect.
4. Body Hair: - Without hormones, controlling hair is impossible, though it helps that I live in Boy Mode at the moment. My arm hair is really thick, but very flat and translucent, so I have no problem with that. However, my leg hair is extremely dark and coarse, so I invented a shaving technique that patchworks the hair while not shaving any of it completely off. Works miracles for the overall look. There's still leg hair, but it looks very tame and unobtrusive.
5. Eyebrows: - The inner insides of my brows are balding because of my over-androgen hormone imbalance, so inking/eyeliner-ing/penciling them to be closer together makes me look so much more female it's unreal. I keep very shaped, but thick, eyebrows. Thick eyebrows simply work extremely well for my face, but I keep them shaped and androgynous.
Basically, it's all appearance stuff, but everything else I do in my life activity-wise is stuff I do naturally, so none of it makes me feel better. I simply love prettying up my appearance!
