San Francisco and the Bay Area are known for being a bit liberal and for being the gay Mecca of the West. Another reason the area is well known is Silicon Valley. Silicon Valley, the heart of the country's tech industry, is a storied place. Many of today's hottest tech companies got their start in the valley, including Apple, Google, HP, and Adobe.

Today comes news that the tech companies of Silicon Valley have created a coalition to oppose Prop 8. The coalition released a full-page ad in today's San Jose Mercury News, which is a major daily in the Bay area.

And in western, Christian culture we should keep marriage as it is now.

No, only in private church meetings will Marriage have any meaning.

The Church I attend performs same sex marriages. So do many other churches. You can't tell my church or the other churches whether or not to be intolerant. It's our choice and we choose tolerance.

If you watch a couple get married, you will see the joy they share. Everyone has a right to be joyful.
