Hmmm....I don't know about "adult babies".  However, because of his constant reminders, all I know is that I am an adult babe!  >:-) Does that count?  LOL  ;D

I wasnt going to say it :P

as i originally posted and you agreed... most likely a disociative disorder from not wanting to face life...

Yeah, around here we naturally want to give people the benefit of the doubt, but not everyone who comes down the pike is to be taken seriously. I think, "wow...crackers" about sums it up.

I knew a TS once who decided to do the adult baby thing including soiling giant nappies and playing with rattles (possibly in ways a baby wouldn't). I lost contact with her.

Haha imagine what kind of people will arrive here after Googling 'baby porn' now.

I think this example is useful for transexual persons like me in getting an idea of what many cisgendered people might think and feel when they experience us.  I'm faced with a decision whether to "draw the line somewhere" or do my usual thing and take her at her word regarding her identity.  I'm striving for the latter.

But a baby identity isn't a gender identity, it's a developmental stage of all humanity.

And as for the workplace, well if someone adult believes they are a baby... babies are too young to work. So not getting a job would simply reinforce the identity.

It strikes me as a little unfair and hypocritical to adopt an attitude of 'we are prepared to ridicule, and don't want any association with these people because they'll make us look bad in the eyes of the wider world'.

Isn't that what we strive against, with regard to how society sees us as transgendered people, at the moment? Do we really want to turn into what we dislike others for being?

They're human beings, like the rest of us, with feelings and rights. The fact that society as a whole may have trouble accepting people who walk this path should not, in my opinion, give free reign to scorn and alienation based solely on fear of rejection by association.

*sigh*
I am only joking. They can wear diapers on their heads for all I care.  I joke about Transgenders too.  That's why I hired someone to watch over me when I come to this site.

I like to think I'm fairly open minded with most things. I'll be honest, I'm nowhere near understanding crossdressers (I don't know many or have ever spoken to one in depth about it to see their side) but it makes them happy etc. without hurting anyone so that's cool by me (not that I think anyone needs my permission to be happy or anything lol!). There's just something unsettling about this. I mean are they attracted to other 'babies' or babies? Also, it just seems wrong to enjoy messing yourself (yeah, this is part of this on the fetish level). We have toilets for a reason.

There's being child-like in a normal sense and then there's....point made.

Yeah, its crazy to dress like a baby, when you could dress in adult costume and just go through life being one - whining, sniveling, crying and pouting - yeah, that's so much better.

FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Let's face it, it's much more dignified peeing yourself dressed as an adult than it is dressed as a baby.

i dunno, some of the uniforms people at work make you wear, i'd rather be dressed as a baby than dressed in a TGIFriday uniform.
