The Divas have arrived

Diva Invasion 2008, "Downtown Divas," thrilled the audience for another year with feisty divas, fun music and enough sequins and glitter to signal a plane.
Diva Invasion is a professional female impersonator review hosted every year by the Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Student Union (GLBSU) as a fundraiser and won the Knights of the Round Table award for Event of the Year in 2007. This year's sponsors include Campus Activities Board, Student Government Association and Chase Bank.
The divas invaded the The Venue on Oct. 23 with a crowd estimated at more than 1,200 people. MCs Darcel Stevens and Danielle Hunter, both professional female impersonators, opened the show with their signature wit and charm after some sassy pre-show crowd interactions by Ivy of Les Vixens.
