So I came out to both my sisters just this week. It went really well and they both have been suspecting that something has been going on. My younger sister even said she always calls me her 'brother' lol. So thats all cool. But they both want me to email them some more information on transsexuals and horomones and stuff. Ive checked out Wiki but couldnt find anything realvent. Anyone got any websites or ideas on what i can send them?

hi, alexkidd!

Seeing someone write that they couldn't find anything relevant about transsexuals and transition in the Wiki makes me wonder how hard they looked.

For female to male hormone replacement therapy information, try this article: https://www.susans.org/wiki/Hormone_replacement_therapy_(female-to-male)

For a copy of the Harry Benjamin Standards of Care, the standards that pretty much every gender therapist follows, check here: https://www.susans.org/wiki/Standards_of_Care_for_Gender_Identity_Disorders

For some general info on transitioning, this article can get you started: https://www.susans.org/wiki/Transitioning

Also, don't forget, if the article you're reading to answer some questions raises more questions for you, clicking on the embedded links shown as blue text will take you to other articles that will help explain some more.

I hope this gives you a better shot at using our Wiki and getting the info you need for your family.  If you still have trouble and can't find something, shoot me a PM or email and I'll try to help you with it.  The Wiki is quite large but it doesn't have everything (yet) that a trans person might need to know so you'll be helping us out by pointing out any deficiencies.

Thanks & good luck!

When I click the Female to Male Link i get this

QuoteThere is currently no text in this page, you can search for this page title in other pages or edit this page.

The general Transioning one is good, but I was looking for something more about FTMs and stuff. They know nothing about transsexuals or transioning, so I was hoping to get them some info that is not too techincial

Video links I sent people:

There are 5 parts so they'll need to look for the rest; usually on the same page.

And:

I think having a visual is better than reading in some cases.
