Palin is with McCant while he concedes in Arizona.

He is actually being gracious.  I wish he could have ran like that.

YES!!!!!!

Wow...what a landslide!

Now let's see where Prop 8 goes. Early reports have Prop 8 winning so far, but only 6% are reporting so far. Here's to another landslide of rejection for Prop 8.

Well the Dems have the Senate, the House, and the White House.  And as visionary and the rest that Obama is, when our government runs right, I I'm hoping it might, the most powerful person is Nancy, the Speaker of the House who has all the money.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

I'm curious, how does on the average a 60/40 split a difference of only 20% consititue a landslide? It was more like strategic manuvering, Obama pretty much ignored states with minimal electoal vote and consentrated is efforts on the others, yes look at Ohio, what was the name of the nonprofit nonpartison group?? OH ya Acorn for Obama that's it.

My thing is this he got up and made all kinds of pretty speaches and promises, dangled the carrot if you will, and could somebody please tell me the last president that kept his campain promises and the last one to effect any real change.....

Electoral College "landslides" seldom are. About 6% points cannot be seen statistically as a landslide, no. But the ability of around 53% of a popular vote to support a man whose ethnic percentage is about 12% of the population certainly seems to me to speak volumes about how much change had already occurred.

The trope oft repeated and hoped for by disgruntled and dismissive people like Rush Limbaugh certainly didn't appear everywhere. People evidently didn't lie about who they would vote for to screw the pollsters and far more voted in what they perceived their best interest in spite of ethnic-difference. They did NOT walk into a booth and pull a lever or push a button to do privately what they denied they would do publically.

In that regard this is a historic landslide, if not a statistical one.

It's not so much about promises, but about trust and honesty.  No one could do everything they want in that position. The important thing is to make an earnest effort and show some respect for people.

Well... the Acorn deal has been explained and re-explained so many times it's not funny. It's not VOTES but REGISTRATIONS that Acorn presented without proper scrutiny. The people they were contracting to register people were getting paid by registration so they turned in a lot of invalid registrations. Indeed sloppiness on Acorn's part and lack of quality control, but hardly the hoopla tent the Republican party set up. Even if Acorn had registered a billion fake voters, it doesn't mean anything if the person doesn't come with proper ID and votes on election day.

That argument reminds me of this: http://www.theonion.com/content/news_briefs/hillary_clinton_resumes

Insofar I haven't seen or heard anything that would lead me to disbelieve he will forgo his intentions of changing things for the better.

The problem I have is simple, beside having been born in the wrong body LOL :) yesterday when my wife and I went to vote we walked in gave our names, they were on the list as registered, we were handed a card and we voted. No ID check, so had I a list of all the BS name that registered my wife and I could have walked into 4 other districts gave the BS name handed a card and voted under the BS name, now do the math on a state wide, nation wide scale, my little example creates an 5 to 1 ration, how close was each state 60/40. Things that make you go Hmmmmm..... Thanks Acorn

NicholeW.

I'm not at all sure that I see the logic in the argument, nor the thanks given to ACORN. ACORN actually points out the BS-names and reports them to the election commissions.

You might well find it much harder to do what you suggest than you believe it to be. Or have I completely misunderstood what you said?
