I don't suppose that you've looked at the results for Proposition 8 in California yet have you?

It's crazy. Gays and lesbians had the RIGHT to be married.  It was given them by our state supreme court.  And this proposition creates an ammendment to take this right away from a group of people.

Oh well... one step at a time.  I'm still very thrilled and overwhelmed.

I was watching it this morning with absolute disgust - I just hope that what Obama said in that MTV interview is translated into action. I don't suppose same-sex unions will ever be called marriage, but at the very least, if civil unions have all the same rights and privileges as marriage does, that's something at least.
