hey everyone! i've been doing speech therapy for about 8 weeks now, and this is the result... keep in mind i'm aiming for an androgynous voice, and i used to have a deep booming voice :P

feedback would be REALLY good, and i'm sorry it's so quiet. my really really good microphone broke, so now i'm using a singstar one >_>

any feedback is GREATLY appreciated, because i'm not too good at self-analysis :P

Your clip was pretty much centered around A3 (220 Hz) a pretty average pitch for a woman.
A lot of women speak lower, a lot of MTF's speak lower.
It sounds pretty natural, maybe a bit nasally?

Try speaking a little more smoothly between words, not so staccato and clipped.

heh, the staccato speaking is more because i used to have a pretty bad stutter, i'm working on it :)

I had my back turned to the computer when I first heard you and I had to play it a second time because I thought I had hear a woman on TV.

Very natural and very passable feminine.  I don't think that you should have a problems in the vioce department.

Hi.

I listened, and you sound good.  It's a very short sample, but the pitch is great, and the resonance is there, but needs a little work.  The biggest part is the modulation.  That's what I would work on most.

Hi Polymorph,

You're voice sounds really good ;). I'm inclined to agree with Renate though that it is a little bit nasally, that's about the only critique I have.

Congratulations on your progress :)!
