Maybe transsexuals and other folk labelled "transgender" really do need to wait awhile before we get "rights." What an odd thing to say, right? I mean, doesn't that fly in the face of what you've said before?
I have to admit that it does. But, if I am anything I would like to think I am open to changing a hasty opinion when shown some good reason to change it. The reason I've been shown as I am moved to make that above statement is that among those of us who have transsexing-histories there are those who seem to show on a rather consistent basis that they "get" the importance of group-pride, etc, but manage to forget somewhere along the way that individual pride and safety, individual choices are absolutely of concern and import as well.
