In California, the debate over whether to vote "Yes to Prop 8" or "No to Prop 8" came with endless television ad campaigns and viral videos as notable religious, government and entertainment figures battled to gain support for one side over the other.

Here on the East Coast, Nashua High School South students have learned of the passing of the proposition and have no qualms about expressing their various viewpoints on the subject. Among these students is the GSA, or Gay-Straight Alliance, the club actively promoting greater awareness of the GLBT – gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender – community in school.

"What makes (the people who passed the proposition) so special that they think they can impress their moral beliefs on other people?" said senior Corrie Masson, president of the GSA.
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." Oscar Wilde
