Transition is tough. There I've said it. No one said it would be easy but no one can prepare you for it either. It is different for each person and each transsexual deals with their 'differentness' in their own unique way.

Repression is one way that it can be 'managed'. If you pretend that it doesn't exist well enough then you don't have to deal with it, right? The problem with repression is that you can't run from it forever and when you do eventually get tired then you have to deal with the years of individual compromises all at once - and try to do it without having a major breakdown.
