People who were HIV+ shared their personal trials and triumphs, which served as a source of inspiration to the participants.
Noori of SIP+, shared her personal experience and traced how her life changed after she was diagnosed as HIV+. She said, " It is the counselling I received, that changed by life completely. I was a commercial sex worker. I vowed I should not be responsible for transmitting the disease. That day I got out of the trade. It was an uphill fight I had to fight the stigma at three levels as HIV+ person, as a transgender, and as an illiterate. With the help of people I decided to start this network for the 'social rejects' like transgenders, gays and the commercial sex workers. Our only aim is to bring hope back into their lives," she said.
