I don't think its age.  I still love the 3 Stooges (but only the Curly ones) and all that Charlie Chaplin stuff, and the entire range of Commedia dell'Arte that depends a lot on pratfalls and all that silly physical comedy stuff.

It's probably that the reference doesn't mean much to you, so the humour is lost. "Falcon Punch" is a move by Captain Falcon on Super Smash Brothers (a game with iterations on the GameCube and the Wii) and when someone plays him, since it's a pretty powerful move and it sends players hurtling across the screen, you hear "FALCON PUNCH!" all the time as people spam it (repeat it) like crazy.

Oh, how I LOVE the Falcon Punch.

What I don't love is being the only person in my entire class who knows about it.  Sometimes it slips out randomly and people go all "A-wAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaahhhhht?!"
