Vaginectomy?

We've had several discussions about the pros and cons of hysto, but I'm wondering how many of you have had/are considering vaginectomy if/when you have phallo or meta. (Gee do you think I could cram a little more ftm jargon into a single sentence?  )  What are your reasons for being for or against vaginectomy?

Vaginectomy would be removing the actual passage from the outside to the womb.  I'm not sure if it would include the inner lips or not... The outer lips are usually used to create the scrotum for the testicles, if you go with that option.  (Why do I have this sudden image of sitting in a dealership showroom, picking out the options for one's customized nether-regions?  "You want to upgrade to the 'sport' package?  It comes with chrome balls and a built-in MP3 player."  )

While I likely won't have phallo or meta (though at times I think a release might be nice), I'm fine with what I have downstairs.  Actually the growth has been better than I thought at 4 months out.   I'm still sorting out my sexuality and while I can't at the moment envision myself in a relationship with a man, I've learned never to say never.  That part of me may come in handy.

For me it's more of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' esp. when the fix might be worse than the problem.

Yeeeahh, there is that... i'm not sure how I feel about this idea. right now the idea of being penetrated there is    but i'm wondering if i can change that. I have enough stomach problems that ...*other activities*... can't happen as often as I want. So I don't know.

The thing for me is the fact that I'd still have a vaginal opening, and that makes me sick.. Like if i hooked up with a guy, i dont want to tell him i'm a man with a vagina. I wanna tell him that i'm a man without a penis, and that anything ladylike has been removed. and of course i wouldn't want any possibility of being penetrated in that hole. ugh.. it's gotta be sealed off, any trace of femininity on the outside removed! but it's just a pipe dream i guess.. 
it just wouldnt be right.. still having some female parts... it would be very, very wrong..

Wikipedia: Vaginectomy can be divided into two kinds of operations.

An operation under which the whole vagina is removed is called a radical vaginectomy. If only the upper part of the vagina is removed then the operation is called a partial vaginectomy. The doctor will decide depending the severity of the case and the affected areas.

The vagina's only the inner parts. the parts you can see are the vulva. the lips to which you're referring are the labia minora (pink red or brown) and the labia majora (lighter colored, larger, more externally visible)

I plan on having a hysterectomy.  I also want a vaginectomy.  Intellectually, I understand those who say that the extra hole is for extra pleasure.  But on a gut level I cannot imagine actually using the one embedded in me.  It would be cheaper/easier to just leave it where it is, but I cannot stand the thought of it being there; I could not face a partner in bed with it there.  I want that hole completely removed.  Labia minora cut out.  Labia majora sealed up into a scrotum.

I'm not even considering genital surgery, but your description made me pause for a moment. I could use a iPenis, actually, if the sound quality's good enough...

Nawh, I'm cool with downstairs. Not sure I would get a phallo even if it was perfect and did everything a "real" one would. Penises always seemed strange to me, kinda like boobs. Both of them are just random things sticking out of your body, seriously, when I think about the design, it's kinda like ...wtf? Random.

Never planned on it, never will. I've seen one performed, it's a very bloody procedure with not much to show for it. And while I'm not completely comfortable with vaginal penetration I'd still like to have the option.

All I can say is... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!! I want to have as few surgical procedures in my life as is possible. I know I'll have to have something done with the chest area, which I'm dreading enough, and it looks like I may have permanently damaged my rotator cuff, so I may well be looking at shoulder surgery down the road. However, I don't want anyone touching my nether regions except myself and my wife. I like things the way they are; the only way I'd want them to be different would be if I could magically have a natural penis, no surgery, notta. Of course, that's only completely impossible. I'm with Asher and Nero... I like what I have. I've learned to live with it. And as far as hysterectomies... I've read about vaginal prolapse occuring from that, and the last thing I need is my innards becoming, hmm... well, outside. Not fun.
