AUGH, my footses!
I wore heels out today. Pebbles can attest to how ridiculous this was.

I started out pretty awkwardly - it's been a while since I practised, and that was indoors. I remembered advice from countless places, though - walk with your hips, heel-toe, shoulders back - and got a nice rhythm going. I loved this bit! If you'd asked me how I feel about heels I'd have beamed at you during this time.
10 minutes around the town centre and my feet might as well have been aflame. I have quite a chunky 'knuckle' on both big toes, which has caused me problem with mens' shoes in the past too. That does not enjoy being rubbed against the rim of a court heel. My toes were getting squished as gravity conspired to slide me back to a flat walking position, and the middle of my sole got rubbed as a result. Basically, I find that heels hurt bits of my feet I never knew could hurt before.

I may resign myself to being a 'heel appreciator'.
