Christine has been a leading campaigner for trans rights in the United Kingdom from the early nineties until the present day. She joined the fledgling Press for Change organisation shortly after it was formed and worked on all of the big campaigns which followed over the course of the next 15-16 years – including the enactment of laws to protect British trans people's employment rights in 1999 and the Gender Recognition Act in 2004.
