Are You "Calling In Gay"?

The latest in what is being dubbed "Stonewall 2.0" Day Without a Gayand the anti-Prop 8 activism, is a nation-wide call to action for queer people across the nation to "call in gay" and donate their free time towards the gay right movement in the first "Day Without a Gay."

I wonder how many of our readers will be "calling in gay" and showing their solidarity with our Californian queer siblings. I, unfortunately, will not be able to take the time off from work today, but I encourage those of you in more advantageous positions to participate!

Will you be calling in gay?

No. To what purpose? I've already discussed with HR whether they have domestic partner benefits (the answer is no). Are they going to listen more if I stay home? I'm just happy the insurance covers my homones.

Nope. I would only call in gay if my work didn't support it (and I thought I wouldn't be fired). But alas, they do, so why would I punish them?
