I understand what y'all guys are saying about not liking the feeling of going without, but I've actually found that wearing something on my chest increases my discomfort a lot of the time. Binding is a necessity for school, but when it's cold like this, I've found that I like to bundle up wearing nothing under. Maybe it feels good because it's closer to my natural state, or maybe the pressure around my ribs from a binder/bra serves as a continuous reminder of my chest, but either way, I've decided that going without is for me, sometimes. Especially during the monthly illness--binding is terrible during that time, as is any kind of constriction. Much better to feel free.

I've found that a lot of the time I can zone out and ignore my chest, especially if I'm not moving around a lot. That helps. Maybe some guys have difficulty blocking it out like I do. *shrug*

I can zone out and ignore my _______ Isn't that true about just about anything (except real physical pain)?  And even then, I've had moments myself, and watched other people go through them, where they were focused so hard on what they were doing that they didn't notice they were hurt.  And in some cases they were really hurt, like lots of blood, or the smell of roasting flesh.  But the mind is a pretty cool tool when you learn how to use it, you can pretty much imagine/ignore your way out of most things.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

i would never go out without a binder on, ever. haha someone would have to pay me $100 for me to even think about it. around the house i pretty much always wear one too; the only time i don't is if i'm sleeping or in the shower. occasionally before my morning shower i'll maybe go smoke a cig or something and i won't be wearing one yet but thats pretty much it. it took me like 2 months to be able to do that in front of my roommates tho haha, i'm pretty ridiculous about it. i hate having them free, i hate any fat on my body anyway so that could be part of it
;D
