QuoteIn a first for Alaska, the Fairbanks School District will decide on
Tuesday if they will add "gender identity" to the schools' non-
discrimination and anti-harrassment policies. There may be a public
response against the policy change, due to the News-Miner front page
story. It is very important that we bring a large group of supporters,
and that community members from all walks of life testify in favor of
the gender identity inclusion.
1) For people in Fairbanks, please attend the School Board meeting and
speak out against discrimination! Tuesday Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. at the
School Board's second floor meeting room, downtown on 5th Ave.
2) For people everywhere, please email the school board today and
encourage them to follow through on adding Gender Identity to the
policies. Messages sent by this Friday 2/13 will be seen by the school
board members before Tuesday's vote!
