I can't take credit for this announcement, but it sure seems like great timing given the dozens and dozens of comments my posts on the Pittsburgh Mayor's GLBT Advisory Council have generated.  Especially those that are clammering for better organization and connecting local issues to the national momentum from Prop 8's passage.

Steel City Stonewall, my favorite local LGBTQ organization, is taking the lead organizing the "Join the Impact" protest scheduled for January 10, 2009 and that bodes very well for good organization and the advancement of a more comprehensive message from Pittsburgh's queer community.

The planning meeting is Sunday, December 28, 5 PM at the Panera in Oakland (along the Boulevard of the Allies).
