Okay, so I can kinda start a conversation without looking like an idiot (most of the time), but beyond that I am clueless. Once we're done talking about whatever situation we are in, I never know how to continue the conversation.

See, I need to make new friends, something I've never, ever been any good at. I'm in the middle of transition, and besides just wanting to start to hang out with other girls, it would be very nice to have some peers I could help me with make-up and clothes and boys and girls and yeah, I want people I can gossip with and go for coffee with and ... just have fun, ya know?

Find out what they are interested in and talk about that.  If nothing else works, let them talk about themselves.

Yeah, but how do you do that? Do you just straight out ask them "So what are you interested in" kinda thing?

You have the exact opposite problem that I have. I can't ever approach anyone or start a conversation, but once you get me going its hard to stop me.

Yeah, and you can ascertain some things, if your at some sort of music event, you can begin to talk about music.  But yeah, I straight up ask them.

Okay ... be rather rudely forward. Got it. ;D

Thanks Tekla. :)

Well I try not to be too rude about it, (I save that quality for other times), so its not like an interrogation, but something more akin to a casual tea.  And its nice to have some amusing stories about yourself to toss around too.  If you don't have any, make them up.  Most people do.

LOL. I suppose if we're getting ready to go maybe go stealth later anyway ... or become an international superspy ... it's never to early to start practicing. ;D

I have this problem as well.

I never know what to say to anyone.

What if you already know them, and what they're interested in?

Fixed it for ya'. ;)
All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.
