Anthony Gray, 27, who was found guilty by a Luzerne County jury in September on charges of aggravated harassment by a prisoner, was sentenced by Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas Judge Chester Muroski.
State police said Gray and his transgender partner, Shawn Shannon Quinnones, were inmates at the State Correctional Institution at Dallas when guard Ralph Laiuvara was escorting Gray to another part of the prison. Gray was placed in a cell but became upset because he was not in the same cell as Quinnones, and he spit on Laiuvara's face.
