Pretty much as the topic states, but is it a good idea or a very bad one? I had three years of HRT and over 14 laser sessions, so there isn't a whole lot left, electrolysis could probably wipe out the rest in a year. But since there isn't a center for that nearby, I was wondering if I could epilate, or is that an extremly bad move?

Upon further consideration (i.e. I just epilated my whole body) I would say that bringing that thing anywhere near one's face is a boldly stupid thing to do.

I almost tried the epilator once, but it scared the ->-bleeped-<- out of me when I turned it on, I haven't done any hormones yet, or had any laser, or electrolysis, I hate shaving, and so I tried tweezing the whole thing off. It was ridiculous! There is just too much hair there, so my new years resolution is to find some good laser therapy ^_^ Anyone have any recommendations for lazer in the San Francisco Area btw?

I can relate to the fear Wolfgirl. When I turned it on I had very serious second thoughts of putting that thing anywhere near my skin. While I have been on hormones for three years, i'm still of Italian decent and it showed.

I will say that it got better as I went. Maybe I got used to it, but except very sensitive areas like my bikini line and armpits it didn't hurt so much. It did at first but got better. Supposedly it gets easier each time you do it, like waxing. I can tell you when I do it for a second time. But even after the first time the difference is extraordinary.

I would say one must be very brave or determined to use an epilator on the face.

Preferably both! (i am neither...)

I've heard of people who've done it on their face, and I have no idea how they endured the pain. I've tried it on parts of my body, but it really, really, really hurts.
