Well 2008 was so much fun. lordy, so much changed in 2008 that It's hard to stop, Anyway for december, I quit my old job as my full time job was quickly turning into a part time job heading for the resession pit of doom.  Interviewed with a new firm first and had a new job, before quiting.  I start the new job in 2 days at a new company for a bit more money and it's more resession proof, I purchased a new (used) car, got a new phone and phone number, finally got around to having the SS office change the gender marker and went sailing in the fog on the last day of the year.

It's been a Very INTERESTING year, I'm hoping that 2009 is slightly less interesting though just as much fun as 2008 was.

Happy new year everyone!!

That's wonderful to hear, Beni.  Changing that little detail with the SSA is certainly important!  And yes, I concur, 2008 was a wonderful year, no question about that! ;)

All my best!

Yes, 2008 was a big year for many of us!

It was interesting in the Chinese curse of the term in many ways, but also truly wonderful in a couple of others!

Congrats on your new position!  I hope it is good for you in every way!

well I survived the first day jitters.  This was the first time I started a job as Me.  The last job I started was 4 months after starting hrt and came out after  3-4 months there.    Gee no biggies at all and gee having a job with solid work for the next year or so is nice.  It should be a grand year.  I'm lucky in that I'm still in the engineering field, it's pretty easy and the company is very happy to have me working there too.

WOW.  Its nice just to be treated like a regular person for a change.
