Please do some serious research on this, there is more to it than a few posts in a forum can tell you. The wrong ones or being worn wrong can cause severe health issues.

The right type can give you a better shape though with little to no risk.

Hi Samantha.  Leslie has given good advice.  Research this.  Corsets are made of many different materials and the better ones are custom fitted to you (and they are expensive).  There are corsets that are made for "waist training", while others are more for show.  Just as an aside, if you are a bit overweight around the waist, or just have a little more fatty tissue there than you'd like, diet and exercise work wonders.

I agree with Katherine. Diet and exercise are much better for waist reduction. Long term waist training requires custom corsets. Those will run you a couple hundred dollars apiece.

Corsets are wonderful tools to give your figure a little boost when you are out and about, though. Most people can reduce 2 or 3 inches without much discomfort. It can make a big difference for your waist to hip ratio.

Certain exercises can give you a smaller waistline. Try some side bends. I was able to get my waist down to 23 inches doing side bends every day.

23 inches?  I've managed to work off a couple inches from mine, from a 34 to 32 and am still trying to reduce, through exercise and diet.  I've knocked several inches off my derriere and thighs.  While trying to do the "manly" thing, I took up body building and have had to reverse the bulking up now that I'm back to feminizing.  I'm my own worse enemy in this journey!  My goal is about a 28 waist.  I run on an elliptical, do side bends and stretches, with a few leg and ab exercises, broken up over several days.

Well, 23 inches was at my thinnist. I've gained a few pounds since then. I think I'm 27 or 28 inches now. I've always had a small frame. I have a 34 inch chest.
