do you believe it's too short, ironic, unfair?

Life is a mess.
It can't be relied upon for kindness.
It's a brief trip that goes on for too long.

Life is an emergent property of reality. It's the universe becoming conscious as it becomes ever more ordered and rushes on into entropy. I don't think individual lives have meaning beyond the meaning individual lives choose for themselves, but as a whole we are evolving towards an ever more complex form of life.

There was a science fiction story I read a few years back where life evolves to a sufficient complexity that it is able to recreate a new universe as the old one in which it evolved decays into heat death, and many scientists today say that, based on quantum mechanics, we HAVE to exist for the universe to be observed and so exits. So maybe life is nothing more than reality's mechanism of perpetuating reality.

There is a big difference between personal reality and the reality of the Universe. Not to mention all the other things that are in the Universe that we do not know or understand that will be there long after all humans die out. Considering we only have senses to detect 4 dimensions when the probability of there being many more is high.

We haven't the foggiest what reality even is yet. Since we can't even objectively prove anything but our own existence, and then only to ourselves, we probably still have a fair way to go before we truly know what we really do perceive. Between the Holographic model and quantum entanglement and all the rest of those glorious little tidbits, we have no idea what kind of influence we truly do have on reality.

Life is everything combined in one.  I just wish there were enough time in the day to do everything that I need to get done. *says that with a very positive attitude*

I believe that it exists. Everything else is so much fluff.

Life is Life you have it then you die, that simple

The curious thing about life is that whenever you're having a great time it passes too fast and when you're in a pickle time seems to stop elapsing.

Considering the earth was a woman aged 45, meaning 1 year equals around 100 million years. If you think then that the first hominids started appearing around 4 million years ago, that'd make it 2 weeks in the lifetime of our earth. And that whole civilisation of ours that we're so proud of, is around 50'000 years old, meaning aorund the time we spend between lunch and dinner.
So how could we know anything about the reality other than what we've seen so far, if we haven't spent more than a few seconds in the lifetime of the planet trying to find it?

"There's a pattern here to see, and the point will soon be clear to me."

I remember that phrase from Stewart Copeland's album 'The Rhythmatist' - I  used that music as a soundtrack for a Man Ray presentation I made in college.  I guess it stuck with me.
(He made the album while gathering sounds from the soundscape of the Serengeti.)

Maybe the nature of my reality varies from moment to moment, day to day etc.  Maybe I have an altered sort of non-circadian concept of time, which qualifies me at least partially, as an animal. It seems that concept of time is the key to mind/reality perceptions. Society provides constant programming from the cradle to the grave, forming our minds with staid cyclic perceptions of reality.  I read somewhere that kids need consistency more than love.

It seems it's our destiny to eliminate real perceptions of the natural world.  We continue on, we will pass a point of no return: into the matix?  (I'm hiding some strawberries in my pocket! Shh!)

It's certainly fun to entertain this stuff though; I have massive yarn balls of hand-written and typefaced, boldfaced assertions on the nature of my reality, and I will continue spinning until my last breath, I'm sure.  Maybe.

Reality is composed of matter and energy; matter is vibration. Everything is basically just energy and vibration.

All we know exists, however, is our consciousness. That may be Life. It experiences. As far we know, life is consciousness. Life is experience.

Apparently, pink isn't officially a colour. What we see as pink is actually just some kind of coping that our brain does when we see that type of mixture.

Life is what you make of it.  If you don't take control over your own life, don't blame others for where you are at.  You and only you live this life, not anyone else.

Do you have it in PINK ?   :D

haha good one.  I've been painting mine in pink a lot these last few months, it certainly has made it look brighter than before. Now I have "La Vie En Rose", so to speak.  ;)

Interesting on several levels.
I totally agree with Janet Lynn, as usual ;)

But on another level can we prove we exist? Maybe we are a all dream of another being, when it awakes we are gone,. Damn that red wine , getting filisofikal.

I'll know I exist as long as I receive bills.

That is a frequent philosophical view. But in the end it's a useless one. In both ones we can just try and enjoy ourselves with whatever we have though :)
