Below is an interview with GSA Network's National Program Manager, Danielle Askini -- another interview conducted at the Equality Summit. She wasn't speaking as a spokesperson for the GSA Network in this interview, but as an activist who worked in the No On Prop 8 campaign.

Danielle publicly identifies as transgender. She, like Sara Beth Brooks, is also in her mid-twenties.

Issues discussed in the interview include California's Proposition 8, grassroots participation in the marriage equality movement, and transgender participation in the marriage equality movement. The interview is about 10 minutes long.

As I said prior to attending the Equality Summit, I was going to cover the event from a different perspective than the mainstream perspective. So, I looked for a couple of voices that we wouldn't likely see in the front of the room.

So, below is an interview with Sara Beth Brooks of the San Diego Equality Campaign. In her role as the Executive Chair for this grass roots organization, she was the lead organizer of the 20,000 participant Join The Impact march in San Diego. She's in her mid-twenties, and publicly identifies as a B within the LGBT community.
