Hi everyone, I just found an article on tubular breasts and it is a growth defect I guess, my questions is, is your breast growth normal for the most part?  Have any of you experienced this tubular breast growth and is it common or uncommon.
I have not heard any reports of MTF people having deformed breasts, maybe small ones but not any deformities, is this correct or do we have these problems too?  Hugs and Aloha.

Hi Tina, yes it can happen I I knew one person that it had happened to. As far as I know it is caused by the lack of progesterone while developing. Progesterone given a little latter than oestrogen fills out the breast to natal gg proportions, this is because (So I read) the milk ducks develop with the introduction of progesterone.

It may be wrong but that's what I've read.

I was thinking the same as I am still developing to ask for a combo dose of oestrogen and progesterone but again I have heard docs are not so good in coming forward with this because of the increase risk of developing breast cancer. I've yet to approach my doc but believe progesterone helps.

Hope I've not breached any rules

Over here in the U.K the endo's say you don't need progesterone and don't condone it but you make a valid and intereting point Stardust. I have taken progesterone occasionally but not as much as maybe I should have. My boobs are not out of shape but are still very small compared to a genetic female. This is after 10 years of HRT.

Mine are fine. I am on estrogen and progesterone, however.
