Birdie

Hi, I'm Birdie. I'm really nervous about this. I've been stealth for so long that talking about this stuff is all kinds of absolutely scary, but I've been having some troubles with HRT and figuring out SRS and I don't really have anyone I can talk to about it.

I'm twenty four and this will be my ten-year full-time transition celebration anniversary! If I can just save a little more money I should be all finished by the end of the year. So I guess I'm here to look for some advice about this last little bit of the proccess, plus my mother says I should offer some help to anyone else who is transitioning young, because it's  "not just a walk in the cake". Crazy mom.  ::)

Anyways, that's it.

I hope I did that right. There's so many buttons!

YAY!

Hi Birdie,

Congratulations on the anniversary!

And you have the best mum in the world! :)

I think you should offer your help to others, its not easy as you know. Take me for example.... im 23, had these feelings all my life but im completly scared. I dont have anyone i can talk to, no one to help me, not even to take me shopping for some clothes so i can finally find out if i feels right. i know if i had a friend, someone to help me i wouldnt be in the mess im in now.

but then again TS's dont exactly advertise for help so how would you know who to help! lol.

Thanks

Thanks for the lovely welcomes Jay and Gwen! *hugs*

Oh and by the way Mark, I don't know which direction you're headed and it's a long shot that you're even in the same country as me, let alone the same city. BUT if you live in Melbourne and need someone to go out shopping with I am THE. SHOPPING. QUEEN!  ;D

Seriously though, I'll shop the hell out of you if you like. If you're local?

Thank you, Birdy.  It has never been said that I look like someone's Mom, before.  And I do take that as a big complement. :icon_redface:

Janet that's a huge relief! I was worried after I posted that. I really didn't want you to take it the wrong way because my mom's a stunner and you're definitely her doppleganger!  :)

I'm getting addicted to these little smiley face thingies!  ;D

I actually lost what post it was in.  ??? That is why it took me a while to respond.  But you made my day and I was smiling all day.

It was the best comment one could make to a transwoman.   Big Hugs.

Welcome, Birdie!

You've got three great, great things going for you, Babes:

One ... You're young.  You're doing this at the right time.  Don't let time slip by like I did ... for way, way, way too long.  Go for it, Girl!

Two ... You've got a supportive Mom!  God!  How many of us here would simply die to have had that advantage.  How about it, gals?

Three ... You live in 2009 with The Information Age in full-tilt-boogie mode, so you've got this wonderful, online community to encourage you!

Count your blessings, Hun, 'cause you've got lot's of 'em.

Enjoy your journey!
Believe.  Persist.  Arrive.    :D
