I was in the car and I told my uncle that I was trans. It was an elating but emotional feeling. The whole time I wanted to cry! I told him that I'd really enjoy talking to a therapist and was wondering if he could set me up and he gave the okay. Then he bombarded me with questions. "What about your body do you hate? You're an attractive young lady, what's wrong?"

I told him I couldn't explain it and he said I should be able to. The only thing I could say was "It's just...wrong." Should I be able to explain something that's wrong with me? Or is the feeling what everyone else feels?

It's good that he gave you the okay.

As far as the feeling goes, it's different for everyone. And I imagine it's hard for him, to understand so quickly, why someone would hate their own body. People usually don't get this stuff right away, so it's only natural that's he's asking these questions. In fact, I'd say it's a good thing that he's so curious, but then again, I'm assuming he's taking it well.
Don't be scared to fly alone, find a path that is your own
Love will open every door it's in your hands, the world is yours
Don't hold back and always know, all the answers will unfold
What are you waiting for, spread your wings and soar

He says it doesn't matter to him but to my mom, it will be a different story. I really appreciate that he is keeping it a secret for now. It's nice that he understands but I'm so awkward talking about it because I'm not very open. D:

Understandable. Just be aware that people will be asking questions because they'll be trying to understand it and figure it out. So if people don't get it right away, that's only natural. It's a good thing that they do ask these things for the most part, in my opinion.

I hope your mother is as understanding.

Sometimes I cant explain it.. It depends who you are talking to and whether or not you want to open up that much. We all have trouble. I am not very vocal and cant explain myself clearly at all..
