Night Witches, Vampires and Transsexuals

We humans haven't really advanced a lot through the millenia in our psychic and atavistic selves. Our sciences and technologies have grown and bloomed allowing us to preserve lives for anywhere from 20-35 years on average over the last 100 years as we make use of advances in health care and domestic care.

Yet as our health and technologies have seemingly improved we are still easily able to relegate others to positions of being less-than ourselves for the most absurd and unthinking, irrational reasons available to us. I suspect in that way the differences between the people living near the caves of Lascaux amd ourselves were not so different socially & emotionally as we might imagine.

In fact, perhaps we are even less tolerant and accepting of a human likeness than were they. Of course who know?
