Hello everyone.  I am Sarah, from Southeastern Virginia.  What am I... mmm...  have been crossdressing for years, since pre-teen actually with the usual "on" and "off" times.  But I have always had feelings of being more girl then boy, that started when little too, so am not sure, maybe I am a bit tg??  who knows....   Am married, she knows I have dressed but hates the idea and doesn't know the extent of it- it's best that way for everyone involved.  At this point, I am reasonably comfortable with the feminine parts of me in balance with the boy parts, though were circumstances different (age, timing, etc) I am fairly certain that balance would tip more and more towards the female.  Anyway, I am glad I found this forum and hope I can make some friends.  That is the main thing I would like...people who understand and accept.

Thanks.

Hi Sarah,   :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 1660 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion. Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers.  Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now.  And it is always nice to have another member.   :icon_hug:

Hello Sarah, may I add my own welcome to this board and I hope that you find the help that you seek and find the answers that you need.

I believe that because you identify yourself as SARAH, you have already decided who you are and what matters now is how to deal with your future.

Your brief description of your past reflects probably most of us here if not all, so you must never feel that you have something wrong with you.

You ask for people to understand you, we do  and acceptance is something that you need to recognise for yourself.  We will accept you because you are within the 'family' but outside in the bad nasty world, it is a battle to be faced down in your own way.  It is within those battles that we stand here to come to your aid with answers, advice and comforting support should you request it.

Be well and be positive, it is your life so take charge of it.  Love, hugs and kissess.........Jennifer.

Wow!  Thanks for the replies to my intro...I never expected so many so fast.  I realized that when I wrote the intro I talked about "what I am" but not "who I am"... that was an interesting miss on my part....  who am I?  well am male (genetically), 49 yo (old guy), retired mostly, one daughter (23 and out of the house), i like music, reading, sailing.  I do volunteer work for the Red Cross (teach). I think I am a pretty good dad and husband (though I think I would have preferred to be a good wife and mother).  I am closeted (for the most part), but want to meet others.  Well, hope that fills out the picture some.

Sarah, Welcome!

Acceptance is what we're all about here at Susan's Place.  Granted, many of the gals here are younger, but several of us are your age or older.  I'm 53 and just beginning my journey.  You've come to the right place!  Feel free to talk to anyone here for any help you may need.

Hugs!

Hi Sarah,

Welcome, although i was not big into cross dressing i did buy clothes and shoes only to purge them over and over and over many times throughout my life. I'm 56 now and had these feelings from around the age of 5 - 6. Only you know what's right for you but a gender therapist may be able to help you sort those feelings out.

Paula.

Hi Sarah. Welcome to the family.  Everyone looks out for each other here.  Especially when you hit a low point.  (Thank you all by the way.) :)  I'm 37 and starting down the path myself here in the tidewater area.  May your journey be wonderful however you choose to go.  Just don't let it consume you.  Hugs!!
