A TRANSSEXUAL murderer is suing Mulawa women's prison for unlawful discrimination, claiming a guard kept calling her "him" and that she was segregated because she is HIV positive.

Maddison Hall - who is also fighting for parole - claims the prison's governor, Karen Boyko, contravened discrimination laws in four different ways.

She claims Ms Boyko directed other inmates to be told she had AIDS, and refused her a fan, despite a medical certificate saying it may help her manage her condition. HIV drugs can have side effects, including varying body temperature.
