Lonliness + depression

well im really damn lonely have no real life friends super shy
depressed cause i feel alone i just want to like connect face to face with someone but i dont know where to begin or if i could even do that
but i guess im just at a low point in my life cause i just dont feel good anymore

It's kind of a catch-22. People don't particularly enjoy being around someone who is depressed all the time, but it doesn't exactly help your case when being friendless one of the roots of your depression.

People are attracted to those who are positive. Give out positive vibes, learn how to feel good about yourself even if you're alone and people will become attracted to you.

I deal with loneliness and depression and the feeling of having no real friends also. Like Monty suggested, give out positive vibes. A smile and kind words go along way. Many people, believe it or not feel the same way and are looking for a positive person to lift their spirits also. That is one of the reasons they are attracted to a positive vibe from someone. If you give out that positive....guess what? Sincerely caring about others is a big help also. There will always be someone more down than you. A great and beautiful place to start giving the positive vibes

Totally understand.
Even if you do not want any relationships, have you tried gay friendly clubs or pubs? The people won't give a s**t about your problems but they will talk and be friendly. In a very safe environment. Remember the code: One step at a time, and be proud, your normal.

If you are depressed talk to your GP and if possible a psychologist. It can be treated.

I can understand where you are coming from I think you most of us feel like that one time in our lives. We are all here for you if you want to chat when you are down.

Is there no groups you can go to where you live to meet new people and the like?

Like Cindy said you should go and see your GP or someone to talk to about your depression.

whats is a GP?
and im not old enough to go to gay clubs and anyways there are none around lol
as for clubs we do have gsa at our school but i just feel uncomterable there but ill try to go to a meeting sometime cause i should put forth the effort to do something about how things are

GP= General Practitioner = Primary Care Physician - In other words, your family doctor. 

And yes, I'm another one who totally gets what you are going through.  I'm terribly social phobic.  I'm one of those ones who considers the average party to be one of the more excruciating levels of hell.  However, anti-depressants/anti-anxiety meds have made a world of difference for me.  They're not for everyone, but well worth a talk with your doctor.

True, antidepressants/anti-anxiety med.s do help allot of people. But not everyone. I noticed this in my therapy group. Many folks got better and some including myself got worse. It is worth checking into.
