Every now and then I examine something pointless, and decide to turn it into something semi-interesting by relying on fractions of insanity; today's product: Show me your Strut8)

You see, I figured my walk is masculine, the way I talk quite-so as well. However, my hands are all over the place and I use a lot of expression in my face (which I suppose is more feminine). I both cross and spread my legs (though not Basic Instinct style ;)), shrug my shoulders, and rub the back of my neck.

In conclusion, I suppose my behaviour is basically both female and male (stereotypical) traits thrown into one big pile of chaos... And it does make me wonder if that 'Female Femme Gay Guy' nick someone gave me once was perhaps quite accurate.. :P

Anyhow; show me your strut!
Let's roll the dice and find out to what extend androgyny does influence your behaviour.  :icon_joy:

Edit: I just realised this question may be a bit more difficult for the bigenderists amoung us, but it would be interesting to see to what extend their behaviour changes when they represent as one or the other. ;)

The males in my family all have slightly twisted tendons in the knees. I can't face my feet forward, they splay out slightly like a duck. I walk quietly, with my shoulders swinging to take in the shifting balance of my legs. Means I can't really stop quickly and I walk into thins, but I fall down surprisingly rarely. Both my feet and hands are quite wide.

The walk thus comes out as something between John Wayne and Charlie Chaplin. When I hid away to write my dissertation, someone said they missed my swaggering around the campus. In fact, small children sometimes imitate my walk as I walk past.

But it works, I can go at quite a nip and I can walk all day without tiring... It's probably a male walk all round.

But I do pull a lot of faces as thoughts go through, and I talk with my hands.

I... rub the back of my neck.

Me too! A lot.

With me, it's obvious who is using our body. Kenny tends to slouch and spread out, whereas Kerry will sit up straight. Kerry swings our hips, and Kenny swaggers. Stuff like that.

I also have a funny walk. I slink around on the balls of my feet all the time. I try to control it because indeed, the rolling motion was oft-imitated by a bunch of wankers at school, and even now sometimes people imitate it, which makes me furious because those long-ago imitations were hostile.

Some things just call for a response like this... :icon_geekdance:

Mine looks more like the one John Cleese has

.....Laurry
Ya put your right foot in.  You put your right foot out.  You put your right foot in and you shake it all about.  You do the Andro-gyney and you turn yourself around.  That's what it's all about.

Lol @ the video Laurry. Nice addition ;)

Seems like we all have our own 'signature' walks.
My only problem is that one of my legs is a tad shorter than the other, and so if I don't watch my steps it sometimes looks like I'm limping. Need to go see the doc for that one, and probably get some Manuela therapy to fix my stance.  ::) Phun phun.
