re queer family: I'm actually making friends for the first time in about five years, and at least two are gay, so there's a start.

As for the H disease, my mother has it, which means I've got a 50% chance of getting it. This is enough of a chance that I'd like to know before it happens. I don't know if my school has medical services available--I'll have to check.

And, Cindi, I'm not sure I understand your meaning? I meant that it would be a simple matter of tweaking my mode of dress slightly, things like that. Not hard.

Yochanan, perhaps you don't completely understand the inciteful piece you, yourself have written.  That's why I encourage you to print it out and keep it.  A few years down the road, you'll understand what I mean.  If you've got this TS thing, and I sincerely hope you do not, your post will have significant meaning.
