Hello everyone! ;D  My name is Catherine, I'm new to the forum and felt I should introduce myself.

Like my screen name suggests, I love the outdoors and even though I live in the city, my heart is in the country.  I really enjoy exploring places by horseback and raft, but can be talked into trekking with the right people.  I also hunt, which feeds, no pun intended, my passion for cooking.

When not doing any of the above I enjoy reading, both fiction and non-fiction, as well as magazines like The Economist, The New Yorker, Atlantic, Harpers and Vogue.  Movie wise I trend towards period films, British romantic comedys and French dramas.

I am a mtf transgendered woman in her mid-30's who is in the early stages of transition.  I have been working with a therapist for a little over 12 months now, am about halfway finished with removing my facial hair and am scheduled to begin HRT late next month.  Currently I live about 30% of my life deliberately presenting as female and am moving towards full time.  All of my immediate family and a few of my friends know about the path I am on and have been very supportive, even the wife I am in the process of ending a marriage with.  I feel very lucky to have all of them in my life.

Well, enough about me!  I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Sincerely,

Catherine

Welcome, Catherine!

You seem to be rather the polymath and polyglot with widely-varied tastes ... and sophisticated ones with respect to movies and reading.

We're so glad that you have supportive people surrounding you.  That's important, and you're lucky to have that.  Some of us do not.  We're glad you're here.  Feel at home.

Hugs!
Believe.  Persist.  Arrive.    :D
