Hi all,

Has anyone had any experience with flutamide? My doctor prescribed it to me as an anti-androgen at the end of December and I've been on it since (along with estradiol and spiro that I've been on for a year and a half now). Lately though I've been feeling more testosterone-y than I have in quite a while and I'm wondering if the flutamide could have something to do with it. I plan to ask my doctor about it but I'd also like to hear about other' experience with the drug. Thanks!

Gwen, Spiro is an anti-androgen why is he giving you Flutamide which is another anti-androgen, you should need one or the other but not both unless your T levels are still way too high. Flutamide does raise T levels but the extra T is converted to E, and has more side effects than Casodex which doesn't. Yes i would ask him why he is giving you two anti-androgen's. I only take Spiro and my T level is less than 30.

Paula.
