Well, here's my suggestion. Bear in mind, I've never used this, cause I've never needed it, but it seems like it would work.

If the wider 38 bandsize will at least be wide enough across the front, then go to your local sewing/craft store and buy bra clasps. They sell them there. Just sew it to the back of your bra so that you can clasp the back tighter (so if the loops are on the left strip, sew the clasps to the left of that). Hopefully that would allow for the proper width in front without it being too big.

And if the underwire causes you discomfort still, try the wireless ones. They don't dig into your skin.

Thanks, Roxas!  Great Idea!  And it works just as well!  My solution was based on using an older bra bought a long time ago at Lane Bryant, with molded (padded) cups that provided enough lift for going without any additional "filling".

If the wire gives you problems then slit a little hole on the side and take the wire out and you still have the tubing for support a little trick my wife gave me. When you find a bra that fits buy a bunch because you never know when they will change design and everyone has to start from scratch. If the is one thing my wife hates is having her bra discontinued and having to start from scratch. This is an universal problem for anyone that needs a bra. Good luck. Hugs, DG

I wonder if she is ready for all the back problems she will encounter with all the top weight. Glad that is not me. Even though people think C is a little small for one 6'5" and 195 #. I always liked women with smaller cup size so that's what I emulate and doing all the physical stuff I do " Girls that large " would only get in my way. That one of the reasons life is great I get to tailor my look to what I want. I want it all and make her into the image in my mind. Now if I just had a magic wand and could roll back 40 years, I was really hot back then now I have the hot coals under cover of age but still think I'm pretty hot with out looking foolish presenting to young. C cup is too small?  Is this what the world has come to?

I don't know where you shop, but I easily find 38C all the time, at Target and Kohl's anyway. It's by no means one of the rare sizes.

42M.. that can't be natural 

38C isn't that hard to find as Hypatia said.. 38A's on the other hand... I've just resorted to shopping online- pretty much find anything you want there
