I guess I can go ahead and set up an appointment with an opthalmologist and get ready to order that nice set of frames I've had my heart set on!

BTW, because in my line of work I need to see stuff as undistorted as possible, I've chosen to go with 'flat-top T' bifocal lenses in glass. I just thought I'd throw that out as others had mentioned their eyewear. Oh, and yesterday my sister got 'bifocal' contacts for herself -- she was giddy with delight at being able to see both near and far -- albeit with either the 'near' eye or the 'far' eye
