For a second I thought you were going to say: "We'll be millionaires, Rodney." ;D

Congratulations, honey. I hope everything works out for you. *big hug*

Just fed up with the way Italy changed over the years. The Berlusconi government appointing it's fascist coalition partners to senior cabinet positions was a national disgrace. The xenophobia and homophobia got to me in the end.

It's also the only country in which my wife has ever experienced racism, she was very shocked.

That said as a tourist you will have a great time, it's the most beautiful country in Europe IMO and the nice Italians are really wonderful people.

I bear a grudge, please don't listen to me! :)

I hear about it being very behind the times and unnaccepting. I hear it's worse in the south though. I'll be living in the North and i suppose i'll get to see first hand what it's going to be like.

You'll find nice people everywhere, personally I like Southern Italy and Sicily.

Went four times last year, three times to sort out my missing divorce papers and once to see friends in Mazara del Vallo in South West Sicily.
