The last episode of Boston Legal, season 4 screened on ZA television last night, the one where Alan Shore represents the town that wants to secede from the US. Hehe. Interesting, if somewhat depressing episode.

They made a damn good case though.

Scary thought though, that they could go to war essentially to impose their own religious and political ideologies on everybody. Hell of a sense of democracy they have.

OK, ask yourself, when was the last time a bunch of Texans went up against the Federal Government?  Like say, the Branch Davidians in Waco in the 90s?  How that go for them?  Massive horrific death (accidental of course), so not so well.  How 'bout before that?  Oh yeah, Texas was part of the Confederate South.  How'd that work out?  Again, not so well.  Despite the tough talk, Texas is in fact 0-2 at going up against the Feds.  Always pickin' a winner there Texas.

Chuck's article was filled with generalities and nonsense.  I wish Texas would go away.  I bet a part of the idiot population would move there.  Then they can use their smelly oil to water their dead lawns and have their ground water poisoned by their industries.

As long as we don't send aid to the stupid nation of Texas, I'd be fine with them leaving.

Chuck did not have both oars in the water before. Then he fell on his head too often or something. Texas is not a bad state. It's some of the people that mess it up. They seem to have some bad luck. The Austin sniper guy and then the Davidians. They did take control of the FLDS fanatics. If Chuck becomes president of the Republic of Texas then maybe Mexico can invade and take it back. See how many machete swinging tejanos he can fend off with a karate chop.

I felt bad about ranting against Texas after I posted.

Chuck's skull must be cracked like an egg, though.  These people who yearn to secede are quitters and people who can't see the whole picture.  I know because whenever I lose my perspective, I want to secede from the Union too.  But, really, it is a reaction against all of the in-your-face bad and negative news and opinions that make you feel there is no hope.

I think Mexico is coming close to taking back Texas and Arizona already, from what I hear in the news.  They've got American assassins working over here.
